The United States will soon follow Europe in implementing laws against so-called hate speech, a top Eurocrat claimed at the World Economic Forum’s meeting in Davos.
The vice president for Values and Transparency for the European Commission, Věra Jourová predicted on Tuesday that hate speech laws will be imposed upon the American public, despite longstanding case law at the Supreme Court protecting such speech under the First Amendment.
“Illegal hate speech, which you will have soon also in the U.S. I think that we have a strong reason why we have this in the criminal law,” Jourová said.
The Czech politician, who previously served as the European Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality, made the comments during a WEF panel hosted by former CNN host Brian Stelter on “The Clear and Present Danger of Disinformation.” The choice of Stelter may perhaps be viewed by some as ironic given his own relationship with the truth.
The panel also featured New York Times chairman Arthur Gregg Sulzberger, Democratic Congressman Seth Moulton, and Internews CEO Jeanne Bourgault.
Representative Moulton seemingly agreed with the statement from the EU Commission VP, telling her: “I think in general the US has a lot to learn in terms of data regulation, internet regulation… You’re way ahead of us in that regard.”
However, the Democrat politician later clarified that he did not believe that American politicians were ready to forsake the fundamental aspects of freedom of speech.

The comments from Jourová come amid the backdrop of the ongoing dispute between the European Union and new Twitter boss Elon Musk over his publicly stated commitment to free speech, which has ruffled feathers in Brussels.
Indeed, Jourová herself commented on the matter to Euractiv on Tuesday, saying that the platform should partner with the EU on combatting hate speech and disinformation, saying: “We need the platforms to work with the language to identify such cases.”
She said that European Union laws surrounding online speech will be enforced, saying: “They apply to Twitter regardless of who owns it. Musk should not underestimate our efforts to make big platforms responsible.”
“Regulators are already closely monitoring compliance with the applicable data protection rules, and we will be able to enforce the Digital Services Act later this year as well,” Jourová added.
The Digital Services Act (DSA) which came into force in November greatly expanded the ability of Brussels to police so-called ‘hate speech’ and ‘disinformation’ through the addition of punishment mechanisms against internet platforms that fail to abide by the bloc’s rules.
Should companies like Twitter fail to comply with the DSA by February of 2024, the EU will be able to impose fines of up to six per cent of their global revenue and even possibly ban the platform altogether.

Hooray! Those Congress critters are going to deliver! Hope abounds just like with the Brunson case which the U.S. Supreme Court correctly denied and dismissed. That case was DOA. The people’s hope balloon deflated. Again.
In my opinion this is a stunt to appease GOP voters being fleeced in taxes until there’s nothing left out of your paycheck. Remember, Kevin McCarthy agreed to that bill knowing full well the U.S. Senate is still controlled by the Democrat/Communist Party USA; the walking corpse in the WH said he would veto the bill. Members of the Freedom Caucus know how the game is played but it sure sounds good to the desperate.
The so-called Fair Tax Act people have been around a long time and we have been fighting them every step of the way. How many Americans have any understanding of what a consumption tax is? 5%, 10% of adults? All they see with this cheese in the mouse trap is a burden lifted and a “fair” tax. How many members of Congress have any understanding – other than the propaganda pumped out by the people behind the Fair Tax Act – what is a consumption tax? 1%, 5% out of the 535?
Back in August 2010, I wrote about H.R. 25 and the “Fair” Tax Act so let me recap:
“The other night on the boob tube I caught a commercial featuring a talk show host named Neal Boortz, Michael Reagan (adopted son of former president, Ronald Reagan) and the vile Newt Gingrich. Last Failsafe to Fix 2020 Election at Supreme Court – Brunson v. Adams - Greg Hunter

Loy Brunson and his three brothers have a case before the Supreme Court right now that could be both groundbreaking and earth shaking. Many on both sides of the aisle think the case is frivolous and meritless, but the Brunson brothers disagree. Their case is 22-380 and titled Brunson v. Alma S. Adams. The case centers around the 2020 Election and charges by 100 members of Congress who wanted to investigate fraud provided for in the Constitution. By voting not to investigate, members of Congress broke their oath, according to the Brunson Supreme Court case. That’s the legal action in a nutshell. Brunson says his case has national security implications because enemies of the United States, both foreign and domestic, are in the process of destroying the country and the U.S. Constitution as a result of the 2020 Election. Is this way of thinking over the top? Brunson says, “No, it is not over the top, and I think the Supreme Court judges are probably aware of how urgent this is and that we are at a tipping point. This is like the last failsafe at the U.S. Supreme Court with this case. The timing is unbelievable that we have been able to bring it and have it at this time. So, it’s a do or die. We have had conversations with many people, and they say they have given up hope until they saw this case. . . . The bottom line is the court has the power to do it. . . . It could be a 9 to 0 vote because it is not political . . . The justices could defend this by saying this has nothing to do with partisan politics. It has everything to do with taking our oaths seriously and the Constitution seriously.”
If Brunson wins, he’s asking the court for the cancellation of credentials of 387 House members and Senators, and this includes the President and his VP because oaths were broken by NOT investigating election fraud. By the way, DNI John Ratcliffe had a report out 11 days after the vote to NOT investigate on January 6, 2021. His report showed China DID interfere with our 2020 Election. All 17 intelligence agencies under DNI Ratcliffe agreed this happened.
Brunson says, “Both parties are going to lose temporarily, and there will be some vacancies, but they will be filled pretty quickly. Both parties are going to be suffering from this . . . but it’s a good thing. It’s going to be preparing the groundwork for much more honest representatives, and both parties should appreciate this. . . . people I talk to, when asked what is the thing you want most in a representative, and they say honesty. We want honesty, and what’s more honest than stripping their immunity and make them binding to the Constitution?”
If you think this case does not have a chance to be won, Brunson points out, “Think about Roe v. Wade and the decisions they made regarding that. What could the President do? What could the Executive branch do? What could the Legislative branch do to oppose that? They could not do a thing. The Supreme Court is it. It is the Supreme Court of the land, and it is representing “We the People.” “We the People,” which is who we represent, only have power if we bring the case to them. This is the last failsafe with the people petitioning right straight to the Supreme Court to fix this horrible mess that we are in, and the Justices have the power to fix it. I hope and pray the Justices have the support necessary to execute this in a smooth, judicious way.

There was a huge political news story this week, but you would not have known it if you listened to the Lying Legacy Media (LLM). They simply did not cover Donald J. Trump’s announcement to run for President again in 2024 on Tuesday, 11/15/22. That’s not big news? Of course, it is no matter if you like him or not. This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the so-called “news” organizations are in the tank for the globalist cabal, and that includes leadership of BOTH parties.
It is a miracle, but the Republicans won control of the House of Representatives. First on the “to do list” is investigate President Joe Biden. The incoming House leadership is investigating Biden for felonies such as wire fraud and money laundering, just to name a few. Meanwhile, the Governor’s race in Arizona is still contested by Kari Lake, and she has no plans to concede. The LLM is calling her an “Election Denier,” but she says Arizonians know BS when they see it. The 2022 Midterm election there will probably be settled in court. There are some other election hot spots, and Pennsylvania is on that list. Patriots there are trying to stop the certification because of irregularities and fraud.
Anybody still thinking the Fed is going to “pivot” and start lowering interest rates is in dream land. The Fed’s new Fed Funds target rate is as high as 7%. The Fed Funds rate is now around 4%. The Fed is determined to fight inflation and the economy, and employment be damned. No doubt the FTX crypto implosion is going to lead to huge economic problems and expose major parts of the financial and political system to be a total fraud fest. This while new Shadowstats.com data and analysis is showing a “deepening economic collapse.” Take some risk off the table and harden your physical and financial position.

There was a huge political news story this week, but you would not have known it if you listened to the Lying Legacy Media (LLM). They simply did not cover Donald J. Trump’s announcement to run for President again in 2024 on Tuesday, 11/15/22. That’s not big news? Of course, it is no matter if you like him or not. This proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that the so-called “news” organizations are in the tank for the globalist cabal, and that includes leadership of BOTH parties.
It is a miracle, but the Republicans won control of the House of Representatives. First on the “to do list” is investigate President Joe Biden. The incoming House leadership is investigating Biden for felonies such as wire fraud and money laundering, just to name a few. Meanwhile, the Governor’s race in Arizona is still contested by Kari Lake, and she has no plans to concede. The LLM is calling her an “Election Denier,” but she says Arizonians know BS when they see it. The 2022 Midterm election there will probably be settled in court. There are some other election hot spots, and Pennsylvania is on that list. Patriots there are trying to stop the certification because of irregularities and fraud.
Anybody still thinking the Fed is going to “pivot” and start lowering interest rates is in dream land. The Fed’s new Fed Funds target rate is as high as 7%. The Fed Funds rate is now around 4%. The Fed is determined to fight inflation and the economy, and employment be damned. No doubt the FTX crypto implosion is going to lead to huge economic problems and expose major parts of the financial and political system to be a total fraud fest. This while new Shadowstats.com data and analysis is showing a “deepening economic collapse.” Take some risk off the table and harden your physical and financial position.

At a June 15 press conference in Washington, three GOP representatives joined forces with the Patriot Freedom Project and family members of Jan. 6 prisoners to call out the injustice and denial of due process rights for those incarcerated. According to Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas), the “violations of American rights” is “mind-blowing.”
“We are extremely concerned to see a Department of Justice, not about justice,” Gohmert said at the press conference. “It’s about vengeance. It’s about intimidation and the tactics that we’ve been seeing from this DOJ and the disregard for rights coming out of investigations showing the FBI lied, intel lied. The DOJ lies. It ought to concern every single American.”
“As a former felony judge and chief justice, it’s particularly mind-blowing for me during a time when we should have the most fair courts in our history. We have more violations of American’s rights than even under the Hoover FBI,” Gohmert told The Epoch Times in a June 22 interview. “It’s just incredible. People that have been nominated and confirmed by the Senate as federal judges, granting warrants that don’t specify with any particularity—as the Constitution requires—what they’re for. What’s worse, when they find out they were lied to under oath by DOJ. But they’re not really bothered. They don’t do anything about it. For heaven’s sake. Have respect for your position if you have no respect for yourself.”

Brown was elected as Mayor of San Francisco, and strongly endorsed Harris’ Marxist political philosophy; he guided Harris’ political rise in California politics, leading to her election as California’s Attorney General. Willie Brown, Jr. was a well-known long-time Communist sympathizer. Willie Brown, Jr. was initially elected to public office with the substantial help of the Communist Party USA.
