The Republican Study Committee unveiled a plan to fight Joe Biden’s program to quickly resettle tens of thousands of Afghan refugees into the U.S. In a memo on Wednesday, the RSC said Biden’s plan was dangerous and extended as well as an open border approach to immigration policies.

RSC Chair Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) pointed out the Biden administration requested $6.4 billion to fly any unvetted Afghan national into the U.S. by the end of the next fiscal year. He added the Democrats’ request included lifetime welfare and a path to citizenship for said Afghans.

“The Biden administration wants billions of dollars to fund unlimited green cards for unvetted Afghans,” Banks expressed in a tweet. “Opening our borders to a Taliban-run nation with the promise of lifetime welfare and citizenship for their extended family is reckless and dangerous.”

Pelosi’s Texas visit draws GOP backlash amid Afghanistan crisis
Dom Calicchio 1 day ago

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi traveled to Texas this week to tout health care aspects of the Biden administration’s "Build Back Better" agenda – but a Republican spokeswoman said her timing was all wrong.

After a deadly Kabul airport attack in Afghanistan left 13 U.S. service members dead last month, the San Francisco Democrat’s services were needed more in Washington than in Austin, the GOP spokeswoman said.

"It’s inappropriate and insensitive for Nancy Pelosi to be promoting the Democrats’ agenda when Americans are still stranded in Afghanistan," said Macarena Martinez of the Republican National Committee (RNC), according to KXAN-TV of Austin.

"Pelosi should get back to Washington, D.C., convene Congress and demand answers for Biden’s failed withdrawal in Afghanistan."

Republicans and even some Democrats have accused the Biden administration of poor planning regarding the pullout of U.S. troops from Afghanistan after a two-decade presence. As U.S. troop numbers dropped, Taliban fighters gained control of large portions of the country, culminating in the fall of Kabul to the Taliban on Aug. 15.

$10 billion dollars in cash on pallets left in Afghanistan to the Taliban, Al Qaeda, ISIS terrorists. Trillions spent overseas, and yet this in our beloved America.
Americans have been abandoned and left to die deaths of despair, while elite politicians sit in their gated community mansions and enrich themselves.

As much as it pains me to say this: The #Taliban is correct all the soldiers that died in #Afghanistan died in vain because of the way that #Biden pulled out of the country. Our enemies have control of the country like how our enemies have control of #Vietnam now.

That's the cold, hard truth of things. All those who said no more endless wars pull out now, no matter what, and the #DemocratParty all have blood on their hands. Just like with Vietnam. Those two pullouts are all on them.
